Matariki

Matariki, the Maori New Year is fast approaching and we wanted to learn more about what it means and represents.



During Matariki the moon is what we call a Full Moon.  This video explains the different phases of the moon and how we never get to see all of the moon, only one half.

The full moon is important to Maori people because that is when they traditionally sow seeds getting ready for the upcoming season.

Times Tables

We are learning our times tables and we have also learnt that singing is a great way to help learn and remember our basic facts.





Sugar

I got a fur real friend kitten for my birthday from my mum. Mum was going to give me jewelry but I chose my cat instead . I called my cat sugar. I love my cat sugar.
