Beautiful Butterflies

What a journey we have been on earlier in the year.  It was a highlight getting to tag butterflies so we can help NZ Monarch Trust understand behaviours of Monarchs over the winter.

Kiwikiwi's Play

KIWIKIWI performed the play called the Animal Band.  They practiced a lot so their reading sounded like talking.  I love the expression the readers put into their voices.

Well done KIWIKIWI!

Sophie's narrative

Sophie shared a story she wrote at home that was inspired by a story her younger sister was reading.  Share your 2 stars and 1 wish for Sophie in the comment section.

Boggle Champs

Congratulations to our first champions for Boggle.  We had a three-way tie!

Peace Week

During Peace Week PAKURAKURA read why we are making origami cranes.

This is a famous story called Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes.
As a class we asked interesting questions as we listened to the first four chapters.

We spoke about how we can stop conflict in our own lives, whether this is at school, at home, with friends or family.  So next time your Mum asks you to tidy your room, don't cause conflict, be peaceful and go and do it!  Mum will love that! :-)
