Who would've thought a simple app would help LC 10 become collaborative and problem solvers!  This addictive game has had the class (and some homes) buzzing.

Contractions

We are learning about contractions this week. We will be learning how to read and write contractions and understand what this ' punctuation mark means.

Here are a few online games to help with your practice. Online games or apps on ipads and tablets give children instant feedback. These activities lets the children have another turn if they didn't get the answer correct. And most importantly they are fun keeping children engaged as they learn a valuable skills to help them with their reading and writing.

Mission accomplished!

Sunday finally arrived and I was super excited like a kid on Christmas morning. But I slept in and I woke in a panic! It was 8:00 and I was late. After hurriedly throwing my clothes on I grabbed a banana and flew out the door. 

I met my friend Rosa and Amelia at the start line. 

Buddy time

Once a fortnight LC 17 and LC 9 and LC 10 have buddy time, that's over 100 kids! This week after teaching how to comment on our class blog LC 10 showed LC 17 Mrs P's new addiction, and I think they're hooked.  Some lovely dialogue between the buddies was happening as well as little squeals of excitement when someone had made a new element that Mrs P didn't have.

Maximus

Maximus was one of Tayla's 5 things you don't know about me items. Zoe, Tayla's Mum shared with us how they look after Maximus.  He is a Guardian Shepherd dog and his breed originates (comes from Italy).  

WOAHA!

Hunter shared his tooth with and we couldn't get over how deep the roots went down into his gums!  That is one big tooth Hunter.

First the dentist put my tooth to sleep.  Next they got some pliers and yanked it out.  It  made a crunching noise.  On the way home it was bleeding.  My lip was swollen.  It felt weird.

Using adjectives

This week LC 10 are learning about adjectives.  This online game Adjective Adventure will help practice what an adjective is.
