Dancing the night away

We were so excited about our very first disco that was run by our PTA. With the boys hair all spiked up and the girls wearing their favourite shoes we were ready to get dancing.

We spied Mrs Herring who was having a wee dance and Ms Crosby who was eying up the limbo stick.

It was a fantastic turn out from the KIWI and PUKEKO teams. A big huge thanks to the PTA.

Hide and seek

Nikita, Brooklyn and Samantha read Hide and Seek this week.  Their first book at Level four!  They were so clever at chopping up big words and finding smaller words (see - seek). They read their story to the class. We couldn't wait to play this new game.

We invited out buddy class LC 4 to come and play.
Ready or not ...
Found you
Hmmmm it's too quiet.  I wonder where they could be?
Logan found someone under the hedge
I wonder where you will hide next time Jack?
Thanks for playing LC 4!

Our buddy class

LC 4 popped in to show us their pin ball box machines they made at technology. We loved using their stick to flick the ball and watching it as it through the maze of obstacles.
Our big buddies helped us keep score.  Brooklyn got 150 points!

Thanks for sharing LC 4.

Baa baa black spotty sheep...

LC 5 got another opportunity to help feed George's lamb and we asked LC 7 to come and help.  George told us, he has no name, so we were coming up with names that we thought best suited the lamb.  What do you think George should call his lamb?

George's Mum told us that this breed of lamb is called a Dorper and it comes from South Africa.

After the lamb guzzled down the milk we starting talking about what he felt like to touch.  Caleb came up with a FANTASTIC idea.  This gave us the idea of writing about what the lamb felt like.  Here are some of our stories.

The lamb is cute because he feels soft like me.
