Pet Day

Room 7 and Room 12 are having their very own Pet Day.  As part of our Inquiries we have been looking at living and non living animals and their habitats.  Unfortunately some of our Pets aren't kid (or cage) friendly and will have to stay at home.  However Elizabeth's blog in  Room 6 gave us an idea of having a digital Pet Day.  Thanks for the idea Elizabeth and Room 6.

What's black, white and stripey?

Well it's not a zebra.  Room 7 is going to be playing with QR codes.  They are kind of like a barcode but they can hold a lot more information (voice, websites etc).

They are really simple to use.  All you need to do is grab a QR (quick response) code reader for your computer or smart phone from here QR code readers.  Then scan the code and it will take you to whatever has been loaded on to the code.  Here is a lovely video explaining how QR's can be used in the classroom.
